about

Deep and dark beats pour out of the speakers and into your ears. The clouds of the club part, and an effervescent beam of musical ecstasy handed down from up on high shines down on you. That is the feeling that Greedhead artist, Dash Speaks’ The Importance of Getting Up leaves you with. That is the state of being that Dash’s music puts you in. Today we release Dash Speaks’ newest offering, for free via МИШКА’s Bandcamp page.

Pure musical ecstasy that leaves you in a state of dance drenched oblivion is the business that rapper/producer/DJ Dash Speaks deals in. His music radiates a calm and cool sexuality not unlike Massive Attack. What separates Dash Speaks from his overtly “chill” forefathers is the man’s sense of hustle. There is a multifaceted and forward moving progression to his music; each track builds on the last. Dash Speaks is a uniquely 21st Century artist — he makes music for multimedia Millennials. His music nods to the past, welcomes the future and puts you firmly in your present. His music sets the soundtrack for the personal experience of everyone in the crowd. It celebrates the unity of unique individuals. Dash Speaks creates uplifting and electrifying hymnals for the dance floor.

Dash Speaks will also be performing tonight at New York City’s Ella Lounge in their downstairs Studio A at 11 p.m.
